Feed the Community

Selecting Feed The Community (food pantry support) as the purpose for your donation allows CFGC to ensure that your donation directly supports food pantries that serve families in Pickens county, Oconee county, and Pendleton, SC. 

Food insecurity is an official term from the USDA. It's when people don't have enough to eat and don't know where their next meal will come from.

Feeding America's 2025 Report on Food Insecurity shows:

• 14.7% of households in Pickens County are food insecure (based on 2023 data)
   
• 15.5% of households in Oconee County are food insecure (based on 2023 data)

The USDA similarly reports that South Carolina has the 7th highest rate of food insecurity in the United States, with 14.4% of SC households being food insecure.
