Grants - Investing in the Community

Investing in the Community

Since 2013, the Community Foundation of Greater Clemson has connected charitable resources with nonprofit organizations serving Pickens County, Oconee County, and the Town of Pendleton.

Through competitive grant cycles, giving circles, charitable funds, and emergency grantmaking, CFGC has invested approximately $300,000 in local organizations through the end of 2025. With approximately $95,000 in grant funding projected for 2026, our total community investment is expected to approach $395,000 by year’s end.

Meeting Community Needs

CFGC grants have supported a wide range of programs and services, including:

  • Food assistance and other essential services
  • Education and youth development
  • Safe housing and home repairs
  • Services for women and families
  • Medical care and family health
  • Arts and cultural programs
  • Parks, trails, and community spaces

These grants have helped local organizations provide food to children and seniors, improve access to safe housing, support survivors of abuse, strengthen early childhood education, expand medical services, and respond to urgent community needs.

Growing Our Local Impact

What began with $7,000 in grants has grown into an expanding network of charitable funds and partnerships supporting our region.

In 2026, CFGC expanded from one annual competitive grant cycle to three, creating more opportunities for nonprofits to access funding throughout the year. This growth reflects the generosity of our donors and fundholders, as well as CFGC’s increasing role as a philanthropic partner for individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and municipalities.

Every grant represents more than financial support. It represents neighbors helping neighbors, donors investing in the place they call home, and nonprofit organizations receiving the resources they need to continue their essential work.

Help Build What Comes Next

As Greater Clemson grows, so do the needs of the organizations and families who call this region home. Your support helps CFGC respond to current challenges while building permanent charitable resources for future generations.

Whether you give to the Friends of the Community Fund, invest in the Community Based Endowment, join the Friends Circle, or establish your own charitable fund, you become part of a growing legacy of local generosity.

Together, we are building a stronger and more resilient Greater Clemson.
