Our History

CFGC was started as a project of the Leadership Clemson class of 2013. Originally known as the Clemson Community Foundation, we updated our name and logo in 2019 to better reflect the region we serve. CFGC is managed by a small, caring staff, expert financial advisors, and an involved board of directors to serve the communities of Pickens County, Oconee County and Pendleton.

Our mission is to connect generosity with community needs by building permanent charitable resources, strengthening local nonprofits, and creating lasting opportunities for the people of Pickens County, Oconee County, and Pendleton. Together, we're building a stronger Greater Clemson—today and for generations to come.
